Colors and Art

“Colour is my day-long obsession, joy and torment.” Claude Monet

“What color is that?” Isn’t this the most intriguing question amongst human beings. With the clothes we wear, food we eat, homes, accessories, everything around us needs to be color dependent. Colors are the first thing that a viewer notices in a painting, but there is always more to it. It is upon the artist to dwell beyond the imagination of the viewer.

Colors play a variety of importance in forming an art. They are the most important mediums of conveying an artist’s emotions, conveying a message or sharing beliefs. A color can set or spoil the whole mood of the piece of art. So its essential to be aware of the effect a color has on your composition.
